Join Our Virtual Job Club: Empowering Young Adults with Intellectual Disabilities

 

We're thrilled to announce that registration is now open for our next virtual Job Club cohort! Tailored specifically for young adults with intellectual disabilities, this 6-week program is designed to equip participants with the tools, confidence, and community support needed to thrive in the workplace.

 

What to Expect

Our virtual Job Club will be held online in a private workspace every Tuesday evening from January 14 to February 18, between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM ET. Each week, participants will engage in an hour-long session that offers practical career guidance within a supportive and inclusive virtual environment.

 

 

Building Community and Skills

One of the unique aspects of our Job Club is the opportunity for peers to connect with others on similar journeys. This sense of community is essential as participants develop key workplace skills. Throughout the six weeks, we'll cover a range of crucial topics, including:

  • Career Interests: Exploring different career paths and identifying personal strengths and interests.

  • Personal Finance: Understanding basic financial principles and managing personal finances.

  • Professional Relationships: Building and maintaining positive relationships in the workplace.

  • Work-Life Balance: Learning how to balance professional responsibilities with personal well-being.

  • Self-Advocacy: Empowering participants to advocate for themselves and their needs.

  • Professional Communication: Developing effective communication skills for professional settings.
